Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung expressed sadness today over the death of renowned author Cheung Yin and extended his deepest condolences to her family.

Mr Yeung pointed out that Cheung Yin had devoted her whole life to the creation of literary works, to the teaching of younger generations, as well as cultivating talent.

In addition to emphasising that she was one of the important authors in Hong Kong with outstanding achievements, he said her works were artistic and literary, valued to be exemplary.

“Her passing was a loss to Hong Kong’s literary sector, and we will fondly remember her.”
