BHOPAL: A series of
tweets by
BJP leader
Uma Bharti on Friday and Saturday over ‘sanyas’ triggered speculation about her political goals. In 27 tweets over the two days, she recalled how it has been 30 years since she took ‘sanyas diksha’ and also traced her journey in politics.
Bharti, one of the firebrand leaders of the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement, who went on to become Madhya Pradesh CM, announced she would renounce her family on completion of 30 years of ‘Sanyas Diksha’.
“Jain Muni Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj has ordered me to renounce all personal relations and names. I should only be called Didi Maa... The entire world community should be my family.” “I had decided that on the 30th year of my Sanyas Diksha, I’d start obeying his orders. He gave me this instruction on March 17, 2022... I free my family members from all bondage and I myself will be free on the 17th.”
