The mission of Rich and Rich Homeopportunities is to help small businesses market their product and reach their objectives. Business Network to bring business owners and those who want to own a business together to exchange ideas. Rich and Rich Homeopportunities
What are the products and/or services you offer?
Rich and Rich Homeopportunities is an affiliate marketing company with a long history with business to business advertising. Services include eCommerce, digital marketing, drop shipping, web development, social media marketing, blog marketing and other digital marketing services. Marketing services help women and Black owned small businesses increase sales.
Biggest Challenge to your business?
"Growing My Business” has been a challenge as we have learned by trial and error, which costs financially. We have had set backs for creativity and continuing to produce and market unique products. Our shipping cost continue to increase and that prolongs time to get the product to the consumer.
Rich and Rich Homeopportunities L.L.C. produces creative content for the website, blogs, YouTube channel, and social media sites. To produce quality content, Rich and Rich Homeopportunities utilizes a combination of outsourced and self produced content.
Grant funding will help create a digital branding campaign. The campaign will focus on increasing social media followers and the conversion rate of users. Rich and Rich Homeopportunities currently has over 5,000 social media followers.
Please elaborate on how you intend to use this grant funding? Funding will be used for a marketing campaign that will produce a variety of content designed to attract targeted consumers. Content will focus on promotional videos, blogs, and social media posts. In addition to digital content, grant funding will be used to host a series of in person vendor events. Events will showcase products and services of local vendors.
Rich and Rich Homeopportunities partners with numerous Black and women owned small businesses. Events and ecommerce will serve as a platform to amplify products and services of local vendors. Partner businesses are from the Great Lakes Region. Funding will also be used to host and expand the list of vendors and marketing affiliates. Networking events will be hosted by Rich and Rich Homeopportunities L.L.C. in collaboration with business groups and entrepreneurs. Events will collaborate with business groups and faith based organizations to invite community members to showcase events.
Tell us more about you. Why did you become a small business owner? What is the origin story of your business?
The Owner and President Desiree Sims began operating Rich and Rich Homeopportunities as a sole proprietorship in 2015. The business was incorporated as an LLC in September 2021. The story of Desiree’s entrepreneurial journey began before Rich and Rich Homeopportunities. While serving in the Navy over ten years ago, Desiree began blog marketing as a hobby. The hobby became a convenient second source of income.
Desiree had an easy time creating content and attracting followers. Desiree began developing social media capital soon after beginning her blog marketing venture. Followers were leveraged into engaged shoppers and her affiliate marketing business was born. The money Desiree made from her affiliate helped her some flexibility with her professional education and career. Desiree is currently an MSN graduate and board certified Wisconsin Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
As Desiree’s digital marketing business grew, she quickly grew the number of affiliates and vendors. Rich and Rich Homeopportunities began working with a series of women and Black owned businesses. Desiree was able to see the opportunity to grow her business and help local women and Black owned businesses increase their sales.
How does your business connect with/support its community?
We collaborate with vendors and affiliates from the community. Local small business owners. Business operations focus on women and Black owned businesses. Online sales and in person events showcase products and services from local small business owners. Events help bring local businesses and entrepreneurs together to network and coordinate collaborative opportunities.
What’s your biggest accomplishment to date?
Rich and Rich Homeopportunities has developed a network of business to business affiliates, customer database, social media following, and community partners. PR and marketing projects have created a foundation of return customers and marketing traction. Rich and Rich Homeopportunities currently has over 3,000 social media followers, 1,000 YouTube subscribers, and 2,224 blog followers. Desiree has had and continues to have an impressive career.
