Cops record more statements in child actress' sexual abuse case


SUBANG JAYA: More statements have been recorded by the police as their investigations into the alleged sexual abuse on a child actress by her father continues.

"The Criminal Investigations Department has recorded statements from the victim, her mother, the medical officer and those that interviewed the victim.

"The investigation paper will be completed in the near future and referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further action," Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said in a statement on Saturday (Sept 10).

It was previously reported that the 15-year-old actress shared her experiences on a YouTube programme.

The actress claimed that she was sexually harassed by her own father since she was young, while alleging that her father treated her mother poorly.

On Tuesday (Sept 6), the victim's father was arrested at his home in Kedah.
