Public Works Department, Drainage and Irrigation Department told to act fast in Sipitang flooding

Anuar said it was important to build a barrier to prevent the cliff from collapsing and the application has been advanced to the authorities but have not received a response.
SIPITANG: The authorities especially the Public Works Dept Irrigation Dept Sabah (JPS) is urged to act immediately to build bigger culverts and construct barriers or gabions to manage the flooding here, as well as repair the road.The existing culverts are unable to accommodate excessive water and torrential rain.
Residents also requested the Public Works Department to repair roads damaged and made impassable due to floods.
