They've made a significant number of alterations to their squad this summer with Antonio Conte assembling a strong squad at Tottenham that many feel are the likeliest side to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the league this season. 

How will their new signings play today as they travel to Chelsea for a stern early test of their credentials?

Nottingham Forest are reportedly closing in on signing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as they continue their summer spending spree.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 40 goals and added a further 35 assists in 216 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit, is out of contract in just 12 months time.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Lyon for the third consecutive summer and speculation has now intensified.

Concerning for Everton. 

Everton have missed out on transfer target Mohammed Camara, as the Red Bull Salzburg midfielder is set to join Monaco after he completed his medical yesterday.

Everton asked about a deal for Camara last week as their talks for Paris St Germain's Idrissa Gana Gueye hit an impasse on terms.

The 22-year-old joined the Austrian giants in 2020 and has since then steadily established himself as a dependable player in the middle of the park.

The Portuguese is not happy and you wonder if Erik ten Hag and his coaching team are beginning to think that they are better off just amputating the limb.

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly being considered as a genuine striker option for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are desperately trying to sign a new attacker following the exits of Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard and the potential exit of Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta refused to rule out further signings this summer despite the LaLiga club struggling to register all their new players.

US winger Konrad de la Fuente will be looking to breathe life into his World Cup dreams after completing a loan move to Greek side Olympiacos from Marseille.  

The 21-year-old struggled to make an impact at the French club last season scoring once and providing three assists in 22 appearances. 

As per the terms of the deal it will see the ex-Barcelona product spend the 2022-23 season in Piraeus.  

Manchester City's 21-year-old right-back Issa Kabore is joining Ligue 1 side Marseille on a season loan. 

The Burkina Faso international, who was a target for Southampton, could make the move permanent next summer for £17m. 

Having joined the reigning Premier League champions in 2020 from Belgian outfit KV Mechelen Kabore failed to play a single game for Pep Guardiola's side. 

Forest are closing in on their 14th signing of the summer as Neal Maupay looks set to join from Brighton.

Davis joined Villa from non-league Biggleswade Town in 2015 and has since made 85 appearances for the club.

Well, the season has well and truly started hasn't it? Manchester United find themselves at the foot of the top division for the first time in 30 years. Not the start Erik ten Hag would have wanted to make.
