OTG Consulting partners can now sell SD-WAN services from Adaptiv Networks.

Gatineau, Quebec, Canada-based Adaptiv signed a supplier agreement with Frisco, Colorado-based OTG. As a result, agents working with the tech services distributor get an SD-WAN offering catered to small and medium-size businesses. Adaptiv gets access to what OTG calls a “consortium” of influential telecom executives.

“OTG develops long-term satisfied customers by finding technology solutions that best fit their needs and reduce their costs. Reduction in technology and process complexity are essential needs,” Adaptiv CEO Bernard Breton said.

“While Adaptiv solutions simplify the complexity of networking, OTG simplifies the complexity of navigating technology selection and channel sales. That combination is a win for the channel and the customer.”

Adding the vendor fits in with OTG’s stated goal of helping businesses migrate from PSTN to UCaaS. The Adaptiv Network SD-WAN platform provides failover during link outage, thus enabling UCaaS platforms to prevent dropped calls.

“Adaptiv’s agile solutions with their seamless failover and automated call prioritization will enable us to deliver superior quality of experience for UCaaS services,” OTG founder and CEO Jeffrey Pearl said. “They are an important addition to our robust portfolio of IT technology solutions for the channel that meet real-world customer needs and reduce costs.”

Background

Adaptiv in 2017 bought Elfiq Networks from Martello Technology. The $800,000 deal brought Elfiq’s office and 16 employees into the Adaptiv fold.

Adaptiv executives say their go-to-market model runs entirely through the channel. The vendor caters to both the commission-based advisory (agent) channel and the margin-based resale (VAR) channel. Its partners include iTelecom, TCG (now part of Telarus) and Nuvola Distribution.
