Hi, I’m attempting to restore my trunk to it’s original state and want to install a tire block to the left rear interior of my
trunk. It requires two machine screws. However, I am unsure of the length and if the screws are metric or witworth.
Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Robert,
The two bolts are 1/4 UNF thread with a 7/16 head with a flat washer and a spring. They screw into 2 captive nuts on the boot/trunk wall but dont be surprised if the captive nuts have gone. If you car has been painted you may need to run a tap through them. I dont have a spare parts manual for a 3000 but i think they will be about 2.5inches long.
If you have a spare parts manual and you can give me the BMC part no for the bolts I can decode it for you and give you the exact length.

I have found this web site of great assistance if you don't have a BMC parts manual
https://lbcdigital.com/bmc_publications/akd3523/
The section you should look at is MP1.1 (road wheels) under the mechanical section.
The bolts are HBZ 0422 which equates to 1/4" by 2 3/4 " long. UNF thread
Regards,
Greg
