“The wind was so strong that we actually felt the house shook and minutes later we realized that the roof over the kitchen is gone,” he stated.
He said the whole family then gathered in the living room hoping that nothing bad would happen and luckily the strong wind stopped blowing after some time.
“We are lucky that there was no casualty and we now look forward to aid from the government,” he said.
He added that a police report was made and the relevant government agencies like the Welfare Department as well as the Lumadan Assemblyman’s office had been informed.

“However, until today we have not heard from the Lumadan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM),” he lamented.
He added that ever since the incident their house is wet whenever it rains and they have no choice but to cook in the living room.

“What we look forward to now is emergency funding to repair our house and we hope that both the Sipitang MP and the Lumadan Assemblyman will come and have a look,” he concluded.
