Police Activity on Dundee Rd Near Pfingston Rd in Attempt to Rescue Suicidal Suspect

Northbrook Police Department responded about 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 to a report of a neighbor dispute in the block of 2800 Dundee Road in Northbrook. Police officers arrived on scene and were advised that a male subject made suicidal statement and was possibly armed with a firearm, according to the Northbrook Police Department. The male was contacted by police officer using FaceTime on an Apple iPhone. He displayed a firearm and barricaded himself inside his residence..

After several hours, the male on the iPhone stopped communicating with the police. A NIPAS police tactical team entered the residence, and located the male deceased inside the residence.

Dundee Road was closed in the area during the police rescue operation.
