IT monitoring tool provider ScienceLogic is tapping new leaders in sales and channel as it continues its hiring push.

Virginia-based ScienceLogic has hired Jasmina Muller as vice president of global channel partnerships. It has also tapped Gregory Johnston as senior vice president of field commerce. The appointments fit into ScienceLogic’s previously stated goal of hiring 200 people in 2022.

ScienceLogic has tasked Muller with bringing new tools to its partner program while strengthening existing resources.

ScienceLogic’s Jasmina Muller

Muller in May departed Everbridge, where she had been serving as vice president of global channel partnerships. She had worked at the critical event management platform provider for two and a half years. ScienceLogic stated in a press release that Muller has built a track record for driving partner revenue, recruiting new global partnerships and building enablement training programs.

“The great thing about ScienceLogic is that they have achieved remarkable growth year over year, putting a solid foundation in place, and my priority will be to continue that momentum and create superior value for ScienceLogic and our partners,” Muller told Channel Futures. “Like any channel executive, I’m going to put a channel strategy in place that will provide our partners with the additional tools and resources needed to grow their businesses. And this includes new enablement/onboarding processes and training/certification of our partners on the SL1 platform. I am excited to grow the channel, drive confidence and trust in our partnerships, and truly empower our partners for success.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in June.

Joining ScienceLogic

Muller said dialogue in the channel around artificial intelligence, monitoring and observability is growing in the channel.

“Over the past few years, we have seen so much change in the SaaS market itself. I was intrigued by ScienceLogic’s platform and how it mirrors what I have been reading from some of the industry analysts, how environments are rapidly shifting to a hybrid state, made up of private and public clouds and how so many of these enterprises already have multiple monitoring and management tools, many in the neighborhood of 50 or more,” Muller said.

ScienceLogic has exited since 2003. The company in 2016 announced a new channel program dedicated to improving the VAR experience.

Johnston Joins from VMware

ScienceLogic’s Gregory Johnston

Gregory Johnston will work alongside leadership at customer firms to ensure that ScienceLogic solutions align with client business goals.

“C-level executives always wear two hats: running the business and transforming the business. The SL1 platform contributes to both: increasing the efficiency of operations by an order of magnitude and revealing actionable insights that support forward-thinking enterprise outcomes. Our challenge is to move organizations from observability to action, using AIOps to show leaders their business from ten thousand feet while offering IT teams the capacity they need to do their jobs better,” Johnston said.

Johnston most recently worked as field commerce executive for Americas, globals and telco at VMware. He spent 16 years at the company. According to a news release, Johnston’s team for three consecutive years exceeded $1 billion in revenue. He also contributed to some of VMware’s “most complex and consequential sales.”

JS Group CEO Janet Schijns praised both appointments.

“The addition of Jasmina and Gregory signals a strong commitment to the channel and global expansion and demonstrates that ScienceLogic understands the importance of the right leadership talent to drive their evolution in the increasingly fast paced and growth-oriented technology ecosystem,” Schijns said.
