3D-printed anatomical models made from new material visible when X-rayed

A new material from Stratasys Ltd. is designed for additively manufacturing radio-realistic anatomic models that are visible under CT scan and X-ray. Called RadioMatrix, it’s the first radiopaque 3D printing material for the company’s Digital Anatomy printers.
The printers produce full-color visual models and biomechanically realistic functional models that can be used for training simulations, presurgical planning, and the development of medical devices. The models exhibit radiopacity values ranging from -30 to 1,000 Hounsfield Unit.
RadioMatrix is available now in some areas and is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in Q3 2022.
