Every boom market leads to anomalous behavior, and the booming legal job market is no different. With lawyers in such hot demand, one thing I’ve noticed in the current lateral market is an unfortunate increase in unprofessional behaviors during the lateral recruiting process that we would see far less of during a down market.

Accepting job offers then backing out of them. Failing to send thank you letters. Canceling interviews at the last minute.
