Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art next generation Cyber Security Operation Centre at the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), which has been jointly developed by the electronics and information technology department and OCAC.

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art next generation Cyber Security Operation Centre at the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), which has been jointly developed by the electronics and information technology department and OCAC.
The centre will help protect data, applications and information, communication, technology (ICT) infrastructure of the state from security threats.

The CSOC has been set up using latest security technologies and tools while the system is fully automated and will help government information and data from possible threat by hackers.
The project has been developed under the 5T charter of the state government as technology is one of the key components. At present, state data centre, state-wide area network and secretariat network have been integrated with CSOC, said official sources.
“As it is an independent infrastructure, more IT set-ups can be integrated in future. The features like bug bounty, real-time threat intelligence feed and independent scalable infrastructure make it unique across the country in government space. This facility was set up within 6 months time,” said IT secretary Manoj Mishra.
The chief minister also inaugurated the multi-level car parking facility at Nandankanan Zoological Park. It has been developed with an investment of over Rs 35 crore.
The three-storey parking facility with 5,600 sq metre in each floor will accommodate 583 four wheelers and more than 2,000 two-wheelers while the facility has been developed keeping in mind the increasing number of tourists to the zoological park.
