JRW Realty Facilitates $84M Sale of Six Southern Walmarts

Net-Lease Specialist and Pasadena-based JRW Realty has arranged the acquisition of six Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Louisiana for $84 million. JRW Realty’s Jennifer Rodriguez Venture facilitated the deal on behalf of an institutional buyer while JLL’s Alex Sharrin represented the seller.

The six stores are 43,000 square feet each and located in Meraux, Houma, Prairieville, New Iberia, Opelousas and Thibodaux Louisiana. Individual purchase prices ranged from $11.8 to $16.5 million.

“Jennifer worked diligently to bring this transaction to fruition,” said JRW Realty’s president of single-tenant net lease Melinda Marston in a news release. “We always seek the right kinds of properties for our clients’ private real estate investment firms. As they have solid backing and resources, they are actively engaging in deals of this size and higher.”
