The ethics complaint filed with the Texas State Bar on Wednesday against Sen. Ted Cruz for his role in the 2020 election adds Cruz to at least three other bar investigations involving the “Big Lie”—that Donald Trump defeated Joe Biden.

The 65 Project, a bipartisan coalition of lawyers formed to hold accountable attorneys who used the courts to try to keep former President Trump in office, despite his reelection loss, filed a 15-page complaint with the State Bar, claiming Cruz’s efforts to overturn the election violated numerous Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.
