Don’t withdraw Employees Provident Fund unnecessarily: MP

SIPITANG: Sipitang MP Yamani Hafez Musa advised Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributors who have opted to withdraw their money under the Government’s special withdrawal initiative to be wise with how they spend their resources.He advised those who could still afford their expenses to refrain from withdrawing, however he understood that many of those who opt to withdraw are the needy. “They really need it so I advise them to use it as best as possible to meet their needs,” the Deputy Finance Minister II said this during the aid handover ceremony to mosques and suraus in Sipitang, at the Pekan Mesapol Mosque.

On the handover, Yamani said the Government channeled financial assistance to a total of 11 mosques and 20 suraus.

In relation to the handing over of financial assistance to 11 mosques and 20 suraus, this is as government support to enliven mosques and suraus.

He advised congregants to continuously abide by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and take the flexibility granted by the Government for granted.

“Make the best use of mosques and suraus without ignoring the relaxed SOPs set by the Malaysian Health Ministry and the National Security Council (NSC),” he said.

Also present were Sipitang District Usia Division Head Datuk Sapawi Ahmad, Sipitang District Officer Awg. Ku Raimi Pg Abd Rahman and Mesapol Mosque Chairman Abd Rahman Mohd Nuh.
