KANNUR: Congressleader K V Thomas, who arrived in Kannur for attending a seminar on ‘Centre-State Relationship’ organised in connection with the
CPM party
Congress on Saturday defying his party’s diktat, landed to a rousing welcome at the venue of the programme.
CPM leaders, including chief minister Pinarayi
Vijayan, state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan, were among those who welcomed Thomas.
Thomas, in turn, didn’t hesitate to shower praises on the CPM leaders, especially Vijayan. “I come from a Congress family. Still now, I am a Congressman. I am taking part in this seminar with pride and happiness. Today, I am very glad, and I don’t have any worries,” Thomas said.
“Pinarayi Vijayan is one of the best CMs
Kerala has seen. The GAIL project, which had been stalled for many years since 2013, has been implemented by Vijayan,” he said.
