The Government today announced that the first batch of subsidies under the Temporary Unemployment Relief Scheme is expected to be disbursed to about 60,000 successful applicants within one week from April 12.

Such applicants may check their bank accounts after receiving notifications via SMS or email, it added.

For those who have not yet received any notification, their applications are still being processed. They may log in to the scheme’s website to check their application status.

As at noon today, more than 380,000 applications have been received since the scheme’s launch on March 23.

The Government reminded eligible people who intend to apply for the subsidies to submit their applications online by April 12.
