Gospel singer LaShun Pace, who sang and penned the now-viral song “Act Like You Know,” has passed away, CBS46 reports. The singer was 60 years old.

LaShun was part of The Anointed Pace Sisters, a powerhouse gospel group known for songs like “It’s Already Done” and “High Praise.” LaShun was a standout member of the group, which was founded in 1988 and included her sisters Duranice, Phyllis, June, Melonda, Dejuaii, Leslie, Latrice and Lydia. According to Variety, The Anointed Pace Sisters’ albums U-KnowMy PurposeReturn and Access Granted charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

LaShun also found success as a solo artist. Her hit songs “I Know I’ve Been Changed” and “Act Like You Know” made her a household name in the gospel space. The latter recently became a viral trend on TikTok — her sister Lydia told 11Alive that LaShun was really excited about it.

Lydia also told 11Alive that LaShun had been on dialysis for five years while waiting for a kidney. Lydia confirmed to the outlet that her sister died of organ failure Monday morning in an Atlanta-area hospital.

LaShun’s passing comes after the death of her older sister Duranice. According to Variety, Duranice passed in Jan. 2021 at the age of 62.
