Staff distribute anti-epidemic supplies to a person subject to compulsory testing in the Tsing Yi restricted area.

The Government today announced that 1,197 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Sham Shui Po, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin, Sha Tin, Tuen Mun and Tsing Yi.

 

It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday for Lai Kuk House of Lai Kok Estate in Sham Shui Po where 738 people were tested and 86 preliminary positive cases were identified.

 

At Tin Chu House of Shun Tin Estate in Kwun Tong, 276 out of the 1,280 people tested received a preliminary positive result.

 

For Fu Yuen House of Chuk Yuen (South) Estate in Wong Tai Sin, 227 initially positive COVID-19 cases were found after testing 1,500 people.

 

As for Sin Sam House of Lung Hang Estate in Sha Tin, 1,630 people were tested of which 294 preliminarily tested positive.

 

Regarding Tip Ling House of Butterfly Estate in Tuen Mun, 209 initially positive COVID-19 cases were found after testing 1,130 people.

 

Meanwhile, at Hang Chun House of Cheung Hang Estate in Tsing Yi, 105 out of 1,530 people initially tested positive for the virus.

 

There were also 120 indeterminate cases in the restricted areas, the Government added.
