Bureau secretaries test positive

A secretarial staff from the Civil Service Bureau has tested positive for COVID-19 while another secretarial staff from Food & Health Bureau has tested positive via a rapid antigen test.

 

The employee working for Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip last reported for work on March 7 and while on the job, she does not have contact with the public. In addition to always wearing a mask and following disease prevention measures, she had no recent travel history.

 

Mr Nip has been performing rapid antigen tests daily and the results are all negative.

 

The employee working for Secretary for Food & Health Prof Sophia Chan last reported for work on March 4 and her secretarial position does not involve contact with the public. In addition to always wearing a mask and following disease prevention measures, she had no recent travel history.

 

Prof Chan has been performing rapid antigen tests daily and the results are all negative. She also underwent testing via professional swab sampling this morning and the result is also negative.

 

Both bureaus said thorough cleansing and sterilisation at the workplaces concerned will be conducted and arrangements will be made for their staff to undergo testing.
