Police, firefighters and paramedics from Waukegan responded about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 to a report of a rollover crash with fire and injuries on Route 120 (Belvidere Road) and River Road at the entrance to the River Glen subdivision in Waukegan.
Police and firefighters on arrival discovered one passenger vehicle rolled on a side and burning, and another passenger vehicle with severe front end damage.
Waukegan Fire Department firefighters quickly extinguished the vehicle fire involving the rolled over vehicle, and immediately treated and transported two people to a nearby hospital.
The crash is under investigation with an extended on-scene investigation still underway at 6:25 p.m.
