The Government today announced that 87 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted area in Sham Shui Po.

It made restriction-testing declarations on February 17 to cover Mei Wui House, Shek Kip Mei Estate and extended the operation period to today.

People in the restricted area were required to undergo two virus tests. Around 3,350 tests were carried out in the operation.

Ten indeterminate cases were also recorded in the building.

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on such cases.
