Alabama OC Bill O’Brien could be heading back to New England

Nick Saban and Alabama could be looking for a new offensive coordinator in the near future as reports are beginning to be released that Bill O’Brien could possibly be heading back to New England serving in the same capacity.

Current Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is being linked to the head coach opening with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that if the Raiders and McDaniels reach an agreement, O’Brien would be a potential replacement. O’Brien previously served under Bill Belichick in New England in a variety of roles from 2007 to 2011.

Schefter released this tweet earlier this afternoon.

If O’Brien does in fact become the next offensive coordinator in New England, the Alabama connection would still be there in Patriots star quarterback Mac Jones.
