One World Trade Adds 11th Broadcaster to Tenant Roster
WMBC-TV has signed a 10-year lease to relocate from Montclair, NJ to One World Trade Center. The independent station will join 10 other New York City-area stations already broadcasting full-time from the Lower Manhattan landmark.
“We are thrilled to have WMBC broadcast from One World Trade Center,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, president of The Durst Organization, which markets and leases the tower on behalf of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. “OWTC is the zenith of broadcasting for the tri-state area, and we look forward to adding another station to its dial in 2022.”
SVP of business & strategic partnerships Robert Becker and director of broadcast communications Marc Musgrove of The Durst Organization handled negotiations for Durst Broadcasting LLC. Robert M. Kessler, and Jean S. Tom of Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. represented The Durst Organization in the transaction.
