Government staff register details of people subject to compulsory testing in the Shek Tong Tsui restricted area and arrange COVID-19 tests for them.

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the Shek Tong Tsui restricted area ended today with no confirmed COVID-19 cases found.

It made a restriction-testing declaration last night, requiring people at One South Lane to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Around 80 residents were tested.

In the subsequent enforcement action, 34 people's test records were checked. One person was found to have not undergone mandatory testing and was issued with a compulsory testing order.

The Government also assigned staff to visit around 90 households, of which about 35 did not answer the door. Follow-up measures will be taken.

According to the compulsory testing notice issued yesterday, people who had stayed in the building for more than two hours from December 5 to 27 must undergo testing by December 29 even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.
