After securing a crucial road win over the Cleveland Browns, the Las Vegas Raiders now turn their attention to a Week 16 home clash with the Denver Broncos.

The Raiders did not orchestrate a flawless performance on both ends of the ball against the Browns, but at the end of the day, they clinched a win to snap their two-game losing streak. Veteran quarterback Derek Carr guided the offense to four scoring drives, while the defense came away with a much-needed stop in the fourth quarter that halted a late comeback bid by the Nick Mullens-led Browns offense.

The Broncos were dealt a crucial blow to their playoff aspirations with the home loss against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. It sure was a game to forget for the Broncos, as they totaled for a mere one red zone drive over the course of the contest.

Both teams need a win to remain in the mix for a wild-card spot in the AFC, and the Raiders must achieve each of these four feats in Week 16 to clinch the season sweep over their AFC West rival.

Raiders Week 16 predictions

4. Raiders find long-awaited success on third downs

The Raiders offense has had a season filled with ups and downs, which include its woes on third downs. The Raiders come into Week 16 ranking 28th in third down conversion percentage with a lowly 35.0 percent mark.

Last week, the Raiders offense had a fair share of success in converting third downs due to its keen 46 percent conversion percentage on such plays.

Now, Carr and the Raiders offense will take on a stingy Broncos defense that ranks at ninth in the NFL in third down conversion percentage allowed with a 42.4 percent mark.

Whether it will be Carr scrambling out of the pocket to extend plays or calling on running back Josh Jacobs to move the sticks on short yardage downs, the Raiders must pick up pivotal first downs against the Broncos if they aspire to notch a much-needed win at this late stage in the campaign.

3. Raiders end their takeaways drought

Carr has not had much help from the Raiders defense as of late when it comes to anchoring extra drives over the course of games. For one, the Raiders defense has recorded a mere one takeaway in its last three games. Overall, Las Vegas ranks near the bottom of the NFL in total takeaways on the season with 13.

If there was ever a game for the Raiders to turn around their woes in the takeaways department, it sure would be their upcoming divisional matchup against the Broncos.

The Raiders must be on the lookout for any opportunities to force turnovers against the Drew Lock-led Broncos offense. Lock has had difficulties in taking care of the football in his career so far, which include three turnovers recorded in three games played this season. More so, he threw 15 interceptions over 13 starts in his sophomore campaign with Denver.

For a Raiders offense that has had its struggles in stringing together lengthy touchdown drives as of late, it sure could use several short starting field positions this week.

2. Foster Moreau once again shines on offense

As Darren Waller was ruled out due to his knee and back injuries, backup tight end Foster Moreau earned a start in the Raiders’ Week 15 win over the Browns. He made the most of his opportunities on the field, which included notching a game-high seven receptions to go along with 65 receiving yards.

Since Waller may likely not go on to play in Las Vegas' upcoming clash with the Broncos due to his two nagging injuries, Moreau is slated to feature in the Raiders offense. And as was the case last week, he should rise to the occasion for Carr.

Whether it will be in slants down the middle or in pivotal third down plays, Carr must look toward Moreau against the Broncos in order to open up the offense.

Rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II and the Broncos defense sure may see Moreau plenty of times this week.

1. Raiders remain in the hunt for a wild-card spot in the AFC with a win

There is a possibility that the Raiders could come away from Week 16 holding a wild-card spot in the AFC playoff picture. First, they would need to take care of business against the Broncos — and they should do just that.

Carr should lead the Raiders to a convincing win for their second divisional victory of the season.
