Chula Vista police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred inside a home Friday afternoon after a loud argument involving several people.
A man identified by police as 54-year-old Alberto Marquez was found shot around 1:35 p.m. inside a residence near Agua Tibia Avenue and East Donahoe — just south of L Street and near the San Diego Country Club.
Police said the suspect left the home in a dark-colored sedan.
“Investigators learned that there were several subjects in the residence, including Marquez, when a verbal argument ensued,” stated a news release about the shooting.
Marquez was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
