Mina Restaurant to Leave Crossroads Collective Food Hall

But the good news is the owners are working on a new project.

Sad news coming out of our little food world today. Mina European Street Food inside Crossroads Collective food hall (2238 N. Farwell Ave.) is ending its pop-up run at the end of November. The dynamic little place is one of the sleeper hits in the market. If you’ve slept on checking it out, wake up now, because you’ve got less than a week left to experience it.

Owners Ryan Hoffman and Patrice Gentile opened Mina in July 2020. Ryan’s cooking background includes working as a sous chef at Balzac Wine Bar. I love so much about the Mina menu, which evolved over the course of the year – beignets with chicory coffee chocolate sauce, the smash burger with frites; perch sandwich; Full Moon pierogis stuffed with potato, onion and cheese; the currywurst (brat) with curry ketchup and frites ($5-$15). Visit, and again, before Nov. 30!

Below is the news Ryan and Patrice shared on Mina’s Facebook page, which includes a bit of good news (a new project!) as well:

Bad news, good news time.

Bad news: Our time at Crossroads Collective is coming to an end. Our pop-up ends at the end of November and we’ll be packing our bags to move onto new adventures.

Our time as Crossroads has been a gift. They gave a chance to Milwaukee-newbies with little connections in this industry to be weird and creative and make our food for the lovely people of this city. We’ve done movie themed dinners, coursed dinners on the patio, served everything from Basque food to a freaking delicious smash burger, and had a freaking blast doing it.

Our hearts are heavy leaving this amazing group of people we’ve come to know here. The community here has been so welcoming and helpful and we are grateful to have been a part of it.

Good News: This will not be the last you see of us- or Mina! We have a fun new project in the works (details soon I promise!).

Mina will live on in our finish-at-home meals! Perfect for winter days where you want easy to make, tasty food but don’t want to get out of your pjs.

Keep following our page to get updates of our menus and details about ordering!

Thanks to Crossroads, but also thanks to our customers who took a chance on a weird little food stand. We love you and will miss every one of you. We hope you continue to follow us to keep up with our new projects and adventures!

Much Love,
Mina
