Police, firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates and Illinois State Troopers responded about 8:17 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 to a report of a rollover tanker truck crash with injuries at Route 59 and I-90 in Hoffman Estates.
The driver was out of the truck before firefighters and paramedics arrived.
The first fire crew on arrival reported the crash was on southbound Route 59 at Hawthorne Boulevard. Firefighters immediately confirmed there was no entrapment. Firefighters also reported the truck was hauling dry cement with no hazard, except the truck’s saddle tank might have been leaking some diesel.
The truck driver was assessed by paramedics. The extent of injuries, if any, was unknown.
The crash was also reported on Waze.
