Attempt to Damage, Burglarize ATMs at 2 Banks in Skokie

Skokie police responded to attempts by the same suspects to burglarize ATMs at two banks during the early morning hours in Skokie.

Skokie police responded about 3:30 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 to the first location of an attempted burglary at the PNC Bank, 3636 Touhy Avenue in Skokie. Three offenders attempted to use a crowbar on an ATM to remove it from the property. The offenders fled in a dark Dodge Charger and a dark Dodge Durango.




Skokie police also responded minutes later to the Chase Bank, 5200 Dempster Street. The same offenders and vehicles were involved in an attempt to steal another ATM at the Chase Bank, 5200 Dempster Street in Skokie.

Wilmette police assisted Skokie police in attempts to locate the vehicles and offenders. The offenders and vehicles were last seen around 4:00 a.m. southbound on the Edens Expressway (I-94).
