Oral health survey to proceed

November 19, 2021

The Department of Health will launch the Oral Health Survey 2021 this month to collect updated oral health information of people in Hong Kong.

The survey targets five population groups: five-year-old children, 12-year-old youths, adults aged between 35 and 44, seniors aged 65 to 74 and seniors aged 65 or above who are receiving long-term care services.

Participants of each group will be invited through selected kindergartens, schools or service units, or invited if they had signed the consent form during the Population Health Survey 2020.

Survey staff will visit the participants' school, place of residence or service units to conduct interviews and oral examinations. Participants of the adult group and seniors aged 65 to 74 may choose to do the interview and oral examination at designated places.
