Hi All,

I just want to be sure I have not missed something fundamental here that would mean my client can’t get this.  Everything I have read and found indicates he can but I want to be 100% sure on this.

I have a client who is on IRESA in the support group and has been for some time.  He won a PIP appeal in 2017 I believe and should have been awarded an SDP but hasn’t been.  From everything I understand he can apply now and this wouldn’t trigger a claim for UC.  Is this right?

Thanks
Amanda

If your client meets the qualifying conditions then they are entitled to the SDP and it should be backdated to when they first met the conditions.

Brilliant thank you.  It is what I thought but I was beginning to doubt myself.  Thanks again
