Forza Horizon 5 has officially landed and it has already received rave reviews.

The game is set in an open-world environment based on Mexico and like previous games in the Forza series, has hundreds of different cars. Game developers also spent a lot of time and effort trying to ensure that the cars in Forza Horizon 5 drive and handle like they do in the real world.

While it’s hard to determine how accurate the handling characteristics of each car are without driving every one of them, these videos from YouTuber NM2255 do give us the chance to see how the exhaust sounds of cars in the game compare to those in the real world.

The comparison is split into two parts. The first features the likes of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Ferrari 488 Pista, Lexus LFA, Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Porsche 991.2 911 GT3 RS, Koenigsegg One:1, and Lamborghini Urus and compares them with the soundtracks of the same cars in the real world. Meanwhile, the second video features the Lamborghini Aventador SV, Ken Block’s Ford Escort Cosworth, a Nissan GT-R, McLaren 600LT, BMW E39 M5, Audi R8 V10, Mercedes-AMG GT R, and an Audi RS6.

For the most part, we think Forza Horizon 5 manages to capture the essence of most exhaust sounds and for vehicles like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Lamborghini Aventador SV, and Koenigsegg One:1, also shows them routinely spitting out flames just like they do in the real world.
