MEC expands Arkansas facility, adds 70 jobs

Mayville Eng. Co. Inc. has expanded its capacity in Heber Springs, Ark. As part of the expansion, the company will continue to invest in equipment and process improvements and will add about 70 new jobs over a four-year period.

MEC has operated its 190,000-sq.-ft. facility in Heber Springs since acquiring the former Defiance Metal Products Co. in 2018. Current employment at the facility is approximately 200.

A provider of prototyping and tooling, production fabrication, coating, assembly, and aftermarket components, the company has 20 facilities in seven states.
