Getting People to Fill Out Your Form: Lead Ads with Instant Forms


Meta platforms spark discovery. 74% of people who discover new products or brands online typically discover on a Meta platform.1 We want to help you build relationships with customers and give people opportunities to easily sign up for a service you provide or learn more about a product you offer — in other words, generate quality leads who become real customers.

To help your business set up and optimize for lead generation, we’ll help you learn the ins and outs of Instant Forms — the forms used in Lead Ads to collect information, such as names, email addresses and phone numbers from the people your ads reach. When using Instant Forms, people can provide you with additional information without leaving Facebook or Instagram. Contact information (like name, email address and phone number) may be prefilled if someone has already provided their information to Facebook or Instagram, making it easier and faster for those people to submit the form.

When creating an Instant Form experience, consider the following creative best practices for both the custom image and accompanying text copy of the Intro Page to help you attract more customers::

  1. Remind People of the Key Benefit: Provide more detail about what’s unique and valuable about your service, product or promotion
  2. Build in Additional Information: Add secondary information, such as reviews and testimonials that might convince people to become customers
  3. Reinforce the Call to Action Benefit: Tell people again why they should engage with your business and become a customer
  4. Let Them Know When You’ll Be In Touch: Set expectations with people on how quickly and how they will hear from you (e.g., email, phone call)
  5. Answer a Frequently-Asked Question (FAQ): Get ahead of a common customer question or concern to encourage form submission

We also encourage you to add a completion section to your instant form. You can customize this screen to encourage people to take another action after form submission.
