8 Things to Do in Milwaukee Halloween Weekend: Oct. 29-31

It’s a jam-packed weekend full of Halloween festivities.

1. Halloween Flight Night

FRIDAY-SUNDAY | INDEED BREWING COMPANY

Halloween Flight Night’s are happening all weekend at Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.). Pair four candy-inspired beers with the real thing. Flights are $14 and include Chocolate Coconut Almond Cream Ale paired with Almond Joy, Mint Chocolate Porter with an Andes Mint, Peanut Butter Cup Cream Ale paired with Reese’s and Fruit Chew Strawberry Melon with Mamba fruit chews.

2. Frankenstein

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | CARDINAL STRITCH PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Cardinal Stritch Performing Arts Center is enacting Frankenstein with special effects. This play costs $10 and showtimes are Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. 

3. Beer and Pumpkin Carving

FRIDAY FROM 6-9 P.M. | THIRD SPACE BREWING 

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is hosting a festive fall gathering complete with pumpkin carving. For $15 you get a pumpkin, carving tools and a beer, plus the release of Cranberry Gose Winter Sour. As an added bonus, beers are half off if you’re wearing a costume.

4. Local Trick-or-Treating

5. Dia de los Muertos 

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-3:30 P.M. | FOREST HOME CEMETERY

Another unique event taking place Saturday is the Dia de los Muertos ‘Day of the Dead’ festival occurring at the Forest Home Cemetery. This is a free and family-friendly event run by the Forest Home Historic Preservation Association. The event kicks off with a 5K run/walk through the cemetery. Afterward, food trucks, arts and crafts, face paintings, displays from local vendors and music can be enjoyed. Altars or ofrendas will be included as ceremonies in the festival. 

6. Halloween and Food Truck Bash

SATURDAY FROM NOON-10 P.M. | THE TAP YARD- WAUKESHA

The Tap Yard-Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) hosts the Halloween and food Truck Bash. Eight food trucks will be there, and they’ll have live music from 6-10 p.m. There’s also a best costume contest at 9 p.m. and a dog costume contest at 3 p.m. 

7. Bar Crawl and $1,000 Costume Contest

SATURDAY FROM 2-11:59 P.M. | BROTHERS BAR & GRILL

If you’re looking for some ages 21+ fun – and a money-making opportunity – head to the Fourth Annual Bar Crawl and $1,000 Costume Contest starting at the Brother’s Bar and Grill (1213 North Water Street). 8. Greendale Halloween Parade and Costume Contest

SUNDAY FROM 3:30-4 P.M. | 5602 BROAD ST., GREENDALE

On Halloween Greendale is celebrating with a parade and costume contest. This takes place in historic downtown Greendale. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in costumes because they could win a contest, and everyone who comes will receive treats as supplies last.
