LAS VEGAS — Under center for the majority of the Eagles’ opening scoring drive, quarterback Jalen Hurts looked like he was running a completely new offense on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Unfortunately for Hurts and the Eagles, that feeling only lasted as long as running back Miles Sanders was on the field during the 33-22 loss at Allegiant Stadium.
After becoming a fixture of the Eagles’ opening drive for the first time all season, Sanders, who ran six times for 30 yards, was injured on the second series of the first quarter on a failed screen pass. He was eventually carted off the sideline, and the Eagles’ offense fell apart, due to ill-advised play calls and Hurts’ inaccuracy as a passer.
