InnoCarnival 2021 begins

October 23, 2021

The Innovation & Technology (I&T) Commission today launched InnoCarnival 2021 to showcase an array of the latest local innovations and research achievements.

Officiating at the event's opening ceremony, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the stars were aligned for Hong Kong’s I&T development right now.

He noted that the Government has invested and committed more than $130 billion in I&T development over the past few years, including not a small amount of resources on nurturing talent.

The atmosphere for I&T in the community has been significantly enhanced when compared to the past, he added.

Under the Innovate for a Bright Future theme, this year’s carnival is being held in a hybrid format as a physical and online event due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Running until October 31, the exhibition comprises 145 InnoTech workshops and 46 webinars on top of the 36 booths set up at the Hong Kong Science Park to display a series of I&T work and interactive games.

All the activities, some requiring preregistration, are free of charge.
