It is with heavy hearts that we share the news with all you Transformers fans that Jack Angel has passed away. His wife's agency confirmed it earlier today, he was four days away from his 91st birthday. Jack Angel was a very prolific voice actor who just kept working his entire life, from his role as Hawkman in the The All-New Super Friends Hour in 1977, to his role as Val in Care Bears: Unlock the Magic in 2019.
What fans will know him best as is him being one of the main voice cast members of the G1 Transformers show. There, he played Ramjet, Smokescreen, Omega Supreme, Astrotrain, Ultra Magnus, Cyclonus (following the death of Roger C. Carmel), Basso Profundo, Katsu Don, Sir Wulf, Professor Terranova and a Sweep.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Jack Angel was the sort of man you'd never hear anyone say a bad word about. He provided voices for so many characters over the course of his career that it's impossible to quantify just how many people have been positively influenced & entertained by his professionalism & skill. Through his voiceover work, he was a critical component in delivering a sense of unadulterated joy to what is now multiple generations of viewers, with more yet to come. That is an impressive legacy indeed, the like of which, I think, we all aspire to leave after ourselves. "Let his Spark join the Matrix, the greatest of Cybertron." RIP Mr. Angel - you will be missed.

This one hits especially hard as he was the voice of my all time favorite Transformer (among a plethora of other great characters he voiced for Transformers and many other animated series and films). I'm sure his family knows how special he was to so many of us kids growing up, but still I hope they get much condolence and love in this especially challenging time.

Another great voice actor lost to us forever. But at least his work will live on.

I believe (I could be incorrect), but there were 11 actors that combined to provide the voices for all the characters in the MTMTE 3 part premiere, and of course dozens of talented actors/actresses would go on to be added later in Season 1 all the way through the end of "The Rebirth", (as was the Case for Mr. Angel). Of those original 11 however, we have sadly lost 6:
Scatman Crothers, Chris Latta (Collins), John Stephenson, Don Messick, Ken Sansom, & Kasey Kasem
Memory doesn't allow me to mention all the others, but off the top of my head: Jack Angel (mentioned here) Roger C. Carmel, Dick Gautier, Buster Jones. Celebrities who contributed to TF:TM: Orson Welles, Lionel Stander, Leonard Nimoy, & Robert Stack.
For those that are left from MTMTE (as well as others from other seasons and TF:TM), whenever you meet them at conventions, never miss out on the opportunity to thank them for all they did for us. I know they enjoyed/enjoy their career(s), but still.
