Partnering with Advertising Week New York to Celebrate the Future of Advertising

Advertising Week is returning to New York from October 18 - 21 and gathering marketing, media, and technology leaders for a hybrid event that will focus on the future of advertising. Tune into our Facebook at Advertising Week event page and join us for four days of inspiration and creativity, with topics ranging from inspiring innovation, diversity and inclusion, and the creator economy.

Leaders from Facebook and across the industry will take the stage to share insights around social good, commerce, and business equality. A preview of these sessions include:

  • Exploring the New Frontiers of Creativity: The future of connection is being rewritten every day -- people are connecting with each other, with businesses, and with culture in new and innovative ways. Nicky Bell, Vice President, Facebook’s Global Head of Creative Shop, will explore how people-first creativity is shaping the future of marketing.
  • The Future of Shopping: Businesses can exceed the expectations of today’s shoppers by leveraging the latest technologies. Gene Alston, Facebook’s Vice President of Commerce, will speak with Salima Popatia, Senior Vice President of Global Online Customer Acquisition & Retention at The Estée Lauder Companies, to discuss how they’ve navigated this new frontier from Live Shopping to product drops.
  • Advancing the Industry: Harnessing Advertising As a Force for Change: Michelle Klein, Facebook’s Vice President of Customer and Business Marketing, and Nicole Patterson, Deloitte’s Principal, will explore recent research around representative advertising that uncovers barriers to this progress and will surface actions, tools and programming to help the industry breakthrough.
  • The Critical Role of Creators in Advertising: The growing democratization of creativity and attention is redefining how tastemakers are made, and how influence is earned. Alvin Bowles, Facebook’s Vice President of Business Ecosystem Partnerships, will speak with Dara Treseder, Peloton’s Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, about the creator ecosystem.
  • Privacy and Personalization Can Co-Exist: The way data is used to show people relevant ads is changing, and Maggie Burke, Facebook’s Director Global Client Councils and Industry Initiatives, will share thoughts to guide us towards a privacy-first digital ecosystem that preserves advertising performance.
  • The Business of Community: John Cantarella, Facebook’s Vice President Social Good & Community Partnerships, will examine how community is the direct line to building trust, deeper engagement, and better experiences - especially for the people and businesses we serve.
  • Supporting Sustainable Representation: Dan Reed, Facebook’s Vice President Global Sports and Media Partnerships, will cover how Facebook is dedicated to responsible marketing and representation — both online and in the real world.

Starting on Monday, October 18, follow us on Facebook at Advertising Week as we join the advertising world to hear from top industry leaders.
