1. National Cheese Curd Day

FRIDAY | EVERYWHERE

Friday is National Cheese Curd Day, and there are ample opportunities to celebrate. Culver’s is dropping a one-day only CurderBurger, a April Fool’s Day joke that somehow became a dream come true. Lakefront Brewery is also offering special flavors for the day including:

2. Wauwatosa Farmers Market

SATURDAY FROM 8 A.M.-NOON | 7720 HARWOOD AVE.

Run by a not-for-profit organization in Wauwatosa, the Tosa Farmers Market is home to all sorts of goods and treats from local farmers and artisans. This Saturday will be the last day it is open this year as we all brace for colder Wisconsin weather. 

3. Community Day at Haggerty Museum of Art

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-2 P.M. | HAGGERTY MUSEUM OF ART

The Haggerty Museum of Art is offering free celebration of Hispanic culture this Saturday. Guests will be given a tour of the museum’s María Magdalena Campos-Pons: Sea and Self exhibit. Attendees can listen to music from De La Buena and participate in a mixed-media art project throughout the day.

4. Gallery Night MKE

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY| MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

You’ve heard of bar hops and The Hop, now get ready for a gallery hop! This event opens up the doors to some of Milwaukee’s best art galleries and stores. Featuring over two-dozen galleries and even more restaurants around Milwaukee, the event is sure to get you exposed to some of Milwaukee’s greatest up-and-coming artists.

5. Harvest Block Party

FRIDAY AT 6 P.M. | GREAT LAKE DISTILLERY

Celebrate the changing of the seasons and a nice cold fall beer with Great Lake Distillery and Lakefront Brewing this Friday. Enjoy the limited-run Pumpkin Seasonal Spirit and Barrel Aged Pear Brandy along with music from Gin Mill Hollow and High & Rising.

6. Pumpkin Giveaway at the St. Ann Center

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-2 P.M. | 2540 NORTH AVE. 

Stop by the St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care-Bucyrus Campus for a free pumpkin for the kiddos. While there you can enjoy some apple cider and a Halloween photo booth for the kids. 

7. Hamilton

Opening weekend of Hamilton is sure to be busy, however, this musical is worth the crowds and the wait in line. Any performance you attend of the Broadway award-winning musical will sure to be one to remember. 

8. Illuminating the Dark Tours

SELECT FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS IN OCTOBER | PABST MANSION

Experience the Pabst Mansion in full creepy glory this weekend. Tours are given with the whole mansion being dimly-lit, which will be sure to set you on edge as you walk through the hidden passages and the low-levels of the mansion.

9. Limb Shaker Day

10. Public Animal Feeding

Witness the circle of life in-person at the Urban Ecology Center at this drop-in event on Saturday. Watch as workers at the Urban Ecology Center feed their resident turtles, snakes, salamanders and fish!

Enjoy a full presentation of everything mushrooms in the Mitchell Park Domes pop-up mushroom gallery. Plus, stop by the flower dome for a wide assortment of vibrant colored mum flowers.
