What to Expect at Milwaukee’s First PridetoberFest

Dance parties, drag shows and fireworks are just a few reasons we can’t wait to party at PridetoberFest.

PridetoberFest kicks off this weekend welcoming members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to the Summerfest grounds.

The “scaled-back version” of the annual festival will get started at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 with the opening ceremonies in the Dance Pavillion (fun!). At night there will be iconic drag show performances from Sabor Latino, Jaida Essence Hall, GottMik, Big Freedia and more.

The party won’t stop between performances. Throughout the night, there will be live music and DJ sets from local artists like the Doo-Wop Daddies, DJ Femme Noir and Lardi B, to name a few.

Can’t get enough? The festival continues into Saturday, starting at noon. The lineup includes the World Dance Showcase, Lady Gia’s Drag show, the MKE Leather and Fetish Show, and so much more.

The festivities will close out Saturday night with PridetoberFest fireworks, a show-stopping performance from Jaida Essence Hall and, to top it all off, a dance party!
