30 Shots Fired on Northbound Route 53 Near Lake Cook Rd, Unincorporated Arlington Heights

Illinois State Police received a report Wednesday evening that at about 6:42 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 shots were fired from one SUV at another SUV in the northbound lanes of Route 53 near Lake Cook Road near unincorporated Arlington Heights and Palatine.

A passenger in a black SUV displayed a black handgun and fired about 30 rounds possibly at a white SUV. The black SUV was last seen westbound on Lake Cook Road. The white SUV was last seen eastbound on Lake Cook Road.

There were no injuries reported.
