Rep. Adam Niemerg: Gov. JB Pritzker’s Newly Signed Partisan Maps Another Low for Illinois Democrats

#ad▼

State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) immediately responded last week, stating that the new legislative maps Governor JB Pritzker signed into law Monday, September 27, 2021 shows how little partisan Democrats think about the citizens of Illinois.

“This map is clearly partisan with one mission, to solidify the Democrats supermajority for the next ten years at the cost of the Illinois taxpayer,” Niemerg said. “This is a complete failure of not only the Governor, but House and Senate Democrats who continually campaigned on fair maps. Instead, we see the same power plays and back door dealings we have always seen. The people of Illinois deserve better.”

Niemerg is also calling on Illinois residents to remember Gov. Pritzker’s broken promises in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

“Governor Pritzker promised to support the FAIR map, but instead he signed this partisan disaster into law,” Niemerg said. “Voters need to remember his failings as Governor and remember he refused to keep his word on redistricting. We deserve better in Illinois than what our failed leadership has given us.”
