Chief Executive Carrie Lam and senior government officials will attend a flag-raising ceremony and a National Day reception to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1.

The flag-raising ceremony will be held at Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Convention & Exhibition Centre at 8am.

It will be followed by the celebration reception, led by Mrs Lam, at the Grand Hall of the Convention & Exhibition Centre.

In view of the current public health risk, no public viewing area will be set up for the ceremony.

Police will implement special traffic arrangements at Golden Bauhinia Square and the nearby area during the celebration events.
