Three Tips for Saving Time Using Facebook Business Suite

What time of the day do your followers engage with your business’ Facebook Page or Instagram accounts most? Does it make a difference when you post a vertical video instead of a horizontal one? Do you think your last Facebook Live was well received? These are only a few things you may have asked in trying to evaluate the effectiveness of your business’ online efforts.

With the right tools and resources, answering these questions and more is simple, and it doesn’t have to take up much time. Now, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Facebook Business Suite, we're highlighting the success of one of its many users.

Andréia Dacal is an artist and entrepreneur taking advantage of the tools that Facebook Business Suite offers so she can free up more of her time for focusing on other parts of her business outside of managing her social media platforms. Read on for her tips:

1. Optimize your resources

Dacal created her Facebook Page to showcase her work and reach more people. Using her Page and Instagram account, she started growing her audience and building a fanbase.

As a one-woman show, Dacal’s main challenge is managing her online presence with limited time and resources. So being able to manage her entire social presence in just one place with Facebook Business Suite helps her be efficient.

“[Facebook Business Suite] optimized my time...I saved about two hours a day, Monday through Friday, and one hour on the weekend,” Dacal said.

For example, with Business Suite, you can read and reply to messages and comments across Facebook, Messenger and Instagram in a single place using the unified inbox and create Automated Responses for faster replies saving you time when connecting with customers.

2. Schedule content in advance

Using time-saving methods, like scheduling content in advance on Business Suite, is key for Dacal. She estimates that she saves roughly 40 hours of work per month by simply planning and scheduling a large portion of her content to Facebook and Instagram in advance.

With these abilities, Dacal can plan ahead and better decide how to distribute her posts throughout the day, week and month. With the calendar view in Business Suite, you can see what content is planned at a glance and identify and fill in any gaps in your posting schedule. You can even cross-post content across Facebook and Instagram to save time. If you schedule a post but then later decide you want to make a tweak, Business Suite lets you edit it.

3. Use insights to know what works

Dacal also benefits from the metrics and performance reports that Facebook Business Suite provides. She says they’re rich in detail and have become essential to her planning and strategizing. She views insights on how each piece of content has performed. This way, when creating new posts Dacal saves time; she knows what resonates with her audience and can build upon her previous successes. There is now less trial and error to waste time in her process.

"When livestreams peaked during the pandemic last year, I had approximately 100,000 viewers, but I wanted to learn more about how the audience felt about this type of content. It was great to find out that I wasn’t bothering people, according to insights provided by Business Suite," Dacal said.
