Two Shot Dead in Alleyway Near Lincoln St and 10th St, North Chicago

North Chicago police responded about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 to a report of shots fired in an alleyway of the 1000 block of Lincoln Street, North Chicago. North Chicago Police Officers arrived and found two people shot. One person, a 24-year-old man of North Chicago, was deceased at the scene. The other person, a 25-year-old man of North Chicago, was transported to an area hospital via ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.




North Chicago Police requested the assistance of the Lake County Major Crime Task Force to investigate the double homicide.

Preliminary investigation shows both of the victims were outside in the alleyway. An unknown vehicle drove into the alleyway and at least one of the occupants of the vehicle fired multiple shots toward the victims, striking them both.




Major Crime Task Force Investigators and Evidence Technicians continue working with North Chicago Police to investigate.
