One of Milwaukee’s biggest fireworks shows is back. After being canceled last year and postponed this year, Summerfest’s Big Bang Fireworks will kick off at 9:30 p.m. Thursday on the Summerfest grounds.
The fireworks, which were pushed back along with Summerfest, normally draw a significant crowd to the lakefront, both on the grounds and on the water. While the show is a part of Summerfest, you don’t have to be on the festival grounds to see it. They are visible along most of Milwaukee’s surrounding lakefront.
The weather forecast, as of this morning, is for no rain, temperatures in the low 70s and some potential cloudiness.
After this year’s Fourth of July lakefront fireworks show was canceled, this will be one of the biggest fireworks displays in the city in over a year.
If you can’t make it out, you can still catch a taped replay at 10:30 p.m. on WISN, Channel 12.
